Castle Hume is a relative newcomer to the Irish golfing scene, a full 18 holes being opened in 1992. The golf course is situated in the old Ely estate, 3 miles west of Enniskillen on the southern shores of Lough Erne. This is Fermanagh lakeland country, a beautiful area domintaed by the many lakes of the Erne waterway.
Constructed to the highest championship standards, Castle Hume makes full use of the many thousand trees and natural waterways on this free-draining limestone land. The greens are undulating and manicured - a delight to putt on.
When travelling up the northwest coast it is well worth the detour from Donegal to play Castle Hume and see the spectacular lake district of County Fermanagh.
