Dublin Links Explorer - Typical Itinerary

7 Nights & 7 Rounds of Golf - from €1,599 per person

Day 1 - The Island Golf Club
Meet with Tailor-Made Golf Tour representative or chauffeur on arrival at Dublin Airport. Transfer to Donabate and The Island Golf Club. Play The Island, one of Ireland's most underrated links. Transfer to Portmarnock or Dublin City accommodation. Overnight in Dublin.

Dublin Golf Course - County Louth Golf ClubDay 2 - County Louth Golf Club (Baltray)
Journey north to the coastal town of Drogheda and the golf links at Baltray. Always highly regarded in Irish golf as a first class links, Baltray has held numerous prestigious Irish championships before hosting the Irish Open in 2004 (won by Brett Rumford). Return to Dublin.

Day 3 - Portmarnock Links
On the same stretch of linksland as its more famous neighbour, Portmarnock Links is a more modern links design created by Bernhard Langer (himself twice a winner of the Irish Open). Portmarnock Links is rapidly gaining a worldwide reputation as a 'must play course in the Dublin area. Overnight Dublin.

Day 4 - Royal County Down Golf Club
Consistently rated as one of the world's best golf courses, Royal County Down is both aesthetically beautiful and also a real golf challenge. Many consider the outward half to be the best nine holes in the world. Swathes of gorse and heather line the fairways that traverse magnificently undulating fairways beneath huse sand dunes. Keeping it straight off the tee is critical, and several of these are blind. Return to Dublin.

Day 5 - The European Club
South of Dublin, overlooking the Irish Sea, this recent (1987) addition to the Irish Links menu is a remarkable golf links. Designed, owned and operated by Pat Ruddy (Ireland's answer to Pete Dye) and his family, The European features exciting links golf through magnificent dunes with dramatic views of the Irish Sea. The greens are superbly contoured and the 13th green is 135 yards long!. Return to Dublin.

Day 6 - Royal Dublin Golf Club
Dublin Golf Course - Portmarnock Golf LinksIncreasingly poular as a visitor destination, Royal Dublin is the much-loved home of Ireland's most loved professional Chrisy O'Connor Senior. A claasic links, Royal Dublin features a terrific closing stretch, inlcuding a classic risk/reward approach to the final green across the out-of-bounds "Garden". Overnight in Dublin.

Day 7 - Portmarnock Golf Club
Another of Ireland's golf links that is consistently rated as one of the world's best. Portmarnock occupies a magnificently desolate piece of land at the end of a peninsula. Magnificent scenery, as quiet a golf setting as you'll find, and a magnificent golf course all combine to make Portmarnock a truly memorable experience. Last night in Dublin.

Day 8 - Departure from Dublin Airport
Transfer to airport for onward departure.
