Royal Portrush Valley Golf Course

Portrush, County Antrim

Royal Portrush Valley Golf Course

Harry Colt designed both of the courses at Royal Portrush although both were altered in time for The Open of 2019. The Valley links sits in a natural valley between the high dunes lining the east strand at Portrush and the higher ground overlooking the sea (occupied by the Dunluce links). It has its fair share of humps, hollows and undulations and is superbly maintained making for a top class links course.

Royal Portrush Valley Course Description

The Valley links is a very playable links course that is possibly as much fun to play as any links anywhere. A couple of relatively straightforward but tricky par-4s begin the round before the 141 yard third, the shortest of the five short holes.
