Most of the premier golf courses, like most golf courses, have certain periods when tee-times are either extremely limited or totally unavailable. In the context of the 'When' part of inital planning stage this page identifies regular annual closures and next years announced tournaments. To a large degree the only course that impacts a signifcant period is Lahinch when the first two weeks of August are not a good time to come to Ireland if it is on your bucket list.
The page also now provides a very general guide on daily availability at the key golf courses. The tables below are updated regularly based on information we have received (via tee-time requests) during the course of our working days.
Lahinch hosts the annual South of Ireland Championship at the end of July. The course is closed from the Tuesday before through to the last Sunday in July. The 3 days following the South are then available for visitors before the course closes again for members fortnight. This now runs from the Thursday before the first Monday in August for seventeen (17) days. Reopening on the third Monday in August, Lahinch then closes for the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday (Member-Guest Tournament).
