Ryanair Announce Liverpool-Shannon and Liverpool-Cork Routes

21st November 2004:
Ryanair have announced two new routes from Liverpool's John Lennon airport as part of their expanding network that will now include Liverpool as a Ryanair base.

Daily flights to Cork will commence on April 26th 2005. Flights depart Liverpool at 13.35 and arrive in Cork at 14.35. Return flights depart Cork at 15.00 arriving at John Lennon airport at 16.00.

This new flight means golf entusiasts from northwest England can now easily access the great southwestern golf courses of Cork and Kerry. Courses in Cork include Fota Island and Cork Golf Club, while the Old Head of Kinsale is just 45 minutes drive. Killarney is 2 hours drive from Cork airport.

Daily flights to Shannon will commenece on May 3rd 2005. Flights depart Liverpool at 21.45 and arrive in Shannon at 22.45. Return flights depart Shannon at 20.20 arriving at John Lennon airport at 21.20.

Shannon airport provides access to both the famous links including Lahinch and Doonbeg as well as the many fine parkland courses in counties Clare and Galway. The Clare & Galway Explorer golf tour or the Mid-west Break are now just one hours travel from Merseyside.

Dromoland Castle is just 5 minutes drive from Shannon for those looking for a luxury break and Adare Manor is just 45 minutes away. Both have excellent golf courses.
