Day 1 - Dunfanaghy Golf Club
Morning arrival at City of Derry Airport. Meet with Tailor-Made Golf Tour representative or chauffeur. Transfer to Dunfanaghy Golf Club via accommodation. Play Dunfanaghy, a holiday seaside links with stunning views and a number of very good links holes. Overnight in Dunfanaghy.
Day 2 - Old Tom Morris Course at Rosapenna
A short journey around the shores of Sheephaven Bay is Rosapenna Golf Club at Downies. The original course was laid out by Old Tom Morris in the late 19th century and provides 10 classic links holes before moving to high meadow with superb views of the surrounding area. Overnight in Dunfanaghy.
Day 3 - Donegal Golf Club (Murvagh)
In the south of County Donegal, near Donegal in the townland of Murvagh, lies Donegal Golf Club. This massive links, over 7,300 yards from the championship tees, is isolated from the outside world by a forest on one side and the waters of Donegal Bay and the Atlantic ocean on all others. It presents a fine golfing test and there are numerous memorable holes. Return to Dunfanaghy.
Day 4 - Sandy Hills Course at Rosapenna
Ireland's latest addition to the links roster is a Pat Ruddy creation, the Sandy Hills Links at Rosapenna Golf Club. Where Old Tom Morris designed the Old course naerly 100 years ago between the dunes and the sea, Ruddy has created an 18-hole wonder that runs right through the dunes. The ball must be on the fairway at all costs and the traditional links bump and run is not an option to these elevated and protected greens. Final night in Dunfanaghy.
Day 5 - Portsalon Golf Club
Watching the sun rise over and then playing this truly great links is a memory that will be cherished forever. Pat Ruddy has updated this once very good, and now premier league golf links. Portsalon is beautifully situated by the shores of Ballymastocker Bay. After golf take a leisurely drive along the Fanad peninsula and around Lough Swilly to Culdaff.
Day 6 - Ballyliffin Golf Club - Old Course
Ballyliffin golf club boasts 36 magnificent links holes in the far north of the Insihowen peninsula. Todays round is on the Old Course, a traditional links layout that Nick Faldo was so impressed by he offered to buy the club. This is tradiotional links golf at its best - fast running, undulating fairways providing unpredicatable bounce and large undulating greens offering the chance to master the 'bump and run' approach. Overnight in Culdaff.
Day 7 - Ballyliffin Golf Club - Glashedy
Another Pat Ruddy design, the Glashedy golf links at Ballyliffin Golf Club simply another great links golf course. It provides an excellent contrast between traditional (Old Course) and newer links designs - and Glashedy is definitely tougher. Course management is at a premium here, with stiff penalties for poor shotmaking - such as the bunker on the 2nd hole pictured right.
Day 8 - Departure from Derry Airport
Transfer (30 minutes) to City of Derry Airport for onward departure.
