Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

Bed and Breakfasts are private homes where one or more bedrooms are available for guest accommodation. As Ireland's tourism industry has grown, Bed & Breakfasts remain true to the ideal of the private home but most B&B's are now either purpose built or converted so that the guest facilities are separate from those of the home family while still remaining under the same roof. All modern B&B's provide en-suite facilities in each bedroom.

Guesthouse Accommodation

Guesthouses are larger premises, the majority of which are purpose built and provide larger number of rooms than a B&B. Under Irish law, homes providing more than 5 bedrooms for guest accommodation are classified as guesthouses. As with B&B accommodation you will usually be welcomed and served by a member of the host family.

Hotels range from small, family run premises to larger modern hotels. Hotels provide full bar and restaurant facilities.

Luxury Country House Accommodation

Many or Ireland's country manors have been converted to small, intimate hotels. These premises can be considered as small guesthouses though many will provide full bar facilities. The emphasis is on personal attention, fine cuisine and superb ambience in an old-world atmosphere.
