Des Smyth used 200 of thee acres to create a course routed through the mature woodland that was part of the old Fitzgerald estate. Four large lakes and numerous well placed bunkers complement the natural woodland setting, a number of blind tee-shots and undulating greens complete the challenge, The island setting with its 15th century manor make Waterford Castle a unique and memorable golf experience.
