Terms and Conditions of Booking

1. Booking a Tailor-Made Golf Tour

Once an itinerary has been agreed and confirmed available a signed booking form must be returned to us. Signing this form means that you agree that the tour is as described in the final itinerary and that you have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions. The person making the booking does so on behalf of all members of the group and is responsible to Tailor-Made Golf Tours for all payments in respect of the booking.

2. Tour Payments

2.1 Deposit Payments

A deposit of 25% of the total tour cost or € 150 per person, whichever is greater, is normally required. However where certain golf clubs are selected the deposit total may be higher. Deposit payments are non-refundable. A tour confirmation and account statement will be sent on receipt of deposit. If the booking request is made within 6 weeks of your arrival date we will require full payment at the time of booking. Once the deposit payment is received, we will confirm your booking and tour arrangements. From this point a contract exists between us.

2.2 Final Payments

Final payment must be received by Tailor-Made Golf Tours six weeks before the tour commencement date. Full tour itinerary together with online vouchers for all services included on the tour will be mailed on receipt of final payment.

Tailor-Made Golf Tours reserves the right to deem cancelled any tour that has not been fully paid by the due date. In such event the deposit will not be refunded. Please note you may not receive a reminder that the final payment is due.

3. Payment Methods

All our tours are quoted in Euro (€) and must be paid in Euro. Payments by cheque can only be accepted when drawn on an Irish bank and drawn in Euro.

Wire Transfers and Bank Drafts are also accepted when made in Euro and when the bank draft is drawn on a bank based in Ireland.

Credit Card payments can me made using secure payment service offered by PayPal. Credit Card Payments incur a surcharge of 3.75% to cover PayPal fees and these are not billed by Tailor-Made Golf Tours.

4. Alteration of Booking

If you alter your booking

We will endeavour to accommodate any changes you wish to make to your tour up to 8 weeks prior to arrival. All changes must be advised to Tailor-Made Golf Tours in writing by the person in whose name the booking is made, quoting the booking reference. Such changes will be subject to an administration fee of € 50 each. Non-refundable deposits and prepayments already made may be lost. Any alterations within 8 weeks of your arrival will be treated as a cancellation and cancellation charges, as set out below, will apply.

5. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking, the following charges are applicable:
60 + days deposit only
59-30 days 50% of tour costs
29 days or less no refund

If you withdraw from a tour before completion, Tailor-Made Golf Tours will not be liable for any refunds or for any expenses incurred.

Where one or more of your party cancels the above policy applies pro-rata except in cases where the amended itinerary requires the application of single supplements and adjustment of transport costs apportionment.

If a supplier cancels a booking we will arrange a suitable alternative or refund any monies you have paid in full. We will not be responsible for related expenses such as non-refundable flight expenses or other arrangements outside of the tour programme.

We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance that includes cancellation cover.

We will not cancel your booking after the date the balance is due unless it is necessary to do so as a result of force majeure or you have failed to pay the invoice balance. In the unlikely event we have to cancel your holiday we will offer you another holiday of at least similar standard or a refund of all monies paid within 14 days of your decision not to accept the alternative offered.

6. Golf Cancellation

When a golf course is closed or unavailable on a particular day we will refund that days green fee in cases where we are unable to arrange suitable alternative tee-times. In adverse weather conditions no refund is applicable when the client chooses not to play, unless the golf club agrees to a refund. The client should confirm that a refund may be applied with the golf club.

No refunds are applicable when the client's party or individual members choose not to play for any other reason.

Very occasionally tee-times may be missed due to unforseen travel delays. While we endeavour as part of our ground-handling service to re-arrange tee-times, in cases where re-arrangement is not possible, we will only refund green fees when the reason is beyond the clients control.

7. Airline Delays

Arrival delays, lost bags or golf clubs, and golf club carriage charges are beyond our control. We are therefore not responsible for associated delays or costs. We do however endeavour to minimise the disruption caused by such events and can arrange (at client's cost where the airline will not pay) for baggage transfer, club hire etc.

8. Car Hire

The price of tours that include car hire include the following:

Unlimited mileage, one driver, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver), Location Service Charge, Theft Protection and V.A.T. In all cases a damage excess of between € 1,000 - € 2,500 applies depending on car class.

The tour price does not include petrol (gasoline), additional driver fees, young driver fees, driver and baggage protection or super Collision Damage Waiver to reduce the excess cost to zero. You will be offered these when picking up the car.

All drivers must bring a valid current license and the car hirer must bring a current credit card.

9. Force majeure

Tailor-Made Golf Tours will not be liable for additional expenses incurred through travel delay, Acts of God, force majeure or events beyond our control. Force majeure is unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control such as war or threat of war, riots, civil unrest, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions.

10. Our responsibilities

Tailor-Made Golf Tours shall provide your travel arrangements in accordance with the contract and accept responsibility for any loss or damage caused by our employees. We will give all reasonable help in resolving any dispute with independent third parties.

However, all tickets or vouchers are issued by Tailor-Made Golf Tours and all arrangements for transport and accommodation are made by us on the condition that we shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident or delay which may be caused by defects in the transport vehicle or by the negligence of the vehicle driver. We shall not be responsible for, or accept liability for death, personal injury or illness caused to you or to any member of your group.

11. Your responsibilities

We strongly recommend for your own protection that you take out insurance to cover you in the event of forced cancellation, loss or damage of luggage, personal injury, accident or illness. We also strongly recommend that if using a hire car you take out comprehensive car insurance for the duration of your tour.

It is your responsibility to ensure that each member of your tour group possesses all the necessary passports, visas, health certificates as required by law, as well as golf handicap certificates, drivers licences and any other travel documentation. Tailor-Made Golf Tours will not be liable for loss of service or extra expenses incurred due to a lack of such documentation.

No credit or refund will be given for any unused services included in the tour price or for any lost, mislaid or destroyed travel documents.

12. Behaviour

All members of the party are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. In the event that any member of the party causes damage to the golf course, at the accommodation or to the transport vehicles during your tour then you or the relevant member of your party will be liable for the cost of repairing or making good the damage.

13. Complaints

If you have a complaint while on tour you should immediately notify the local supplier (hotel, golf course, car rental company or taxi company) and inform Tailor-Made Golf Tours at the earliest opportunity. If the matter is not resolved full details must be forwarded in writing to our office within 28 days. If you do not act immediately and Tailor-Made Golf Tours or our suppliers are left unaware of the problem it will not be possible for us to resolve your complaint and you effectively forfeit any claims against us.

14. Jurisdiction

This contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Ireland. Both Tailor-Made Golf Tours and you, the client, agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts.
